So many TV shows and movies often have characters that depict the husband (or wife) of someone despising their partner greatly. And though we know that relationships have their fair share of ups and downs, we don’t exactly appreciate the badmouthing of someone’s alleged loved one.

Thankfully, we don’t have to worry about that with Gabimaru, the protagonist of Hell’s Paradise

See, Gabimaru loves his wife so much that his soul subconsciously fights against his death sentence. Not taking his second (third, fourth, and many other) chances for granted, he decides he wants to overturn his death sentence so he can make it back to his wife in one piece. Doing this is easier said than done, as he has to embark on a journey to a dangerous land where barely anyone makes it back alive. No matter the circumstances, however, he’s going to do whatever it takes to see his wife again.

We love that Hell’s Paradise is re-writing the shounen genre we all know and love. If you thought season 1 was excellent work, just wait until you see what’s in store for the upcoming sophomore season.

6. Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc

Demon Slayer is an anime that only gets better with time. Its most recent installment, Swordsmith Village Arc, proves just that, especially because this season had so many plot twists that we didn’t see coming.

Between Tanjiro having to fight an Upper-rank demon that had multiple parts of itself to Nezuko having a near-death experience that made our hearts sink to our stomachs, there were so many moments in this third season that not only showed that the anime is progressing smoothly but also depicted that this anime isn’t as predictable as most thought it would be.

Some say that Tanjiro has a lot of plot armor and doesn’t have to work very hard to defeat his enemies. Some say that since Tanjiro is the protagonist, he is going to have intrinsic strength that no one understands (not even himself) but will somehow be enough to overcome anything and everything. While some scenes may prove this to be true, we believe season 3 was the start of the narrative truly changing since, from here on out, Tanjiro’s physical strength won’t be enough to win. Now, he needs to have the mental fortitude required to make difficult decisions.

What will Tanjiro’s journey look like in the upcoming season of Demon Slayer? We’ll find out soon!
