Gen V is easily one of the best new shows of 2023, superhero or otherwise. The spinoff of The Boys premiered on Amazon Prime Video in September and ended in November. The series was quickly renewed for a second season right before the season finale was released on Prime Video.

The series tells the story of Marie Moreau and a group of Supes attending Godolkin Univeristy. When Golden Boy, one of the most accomplished students with the brightest future at the university, dies, Marie and her friends try to get to the bottom of a crucial mystery at the heart of Godolkin University.

There are a number of callbacks to The Boys, along with a bunch of parts of this story that will tie into future seasons of The Boys, notably The Boys season 4, which is coming in 2024. It's unclear where the story is going to go in Gen V season 2 or when the season will be released, but it's definitely time to get caught up if you missed the first season of this hit series.
