1. Teefs, Lylla, and Floor’s death in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 took us on an emotional roller coaster, particularly with the heart-wrenching deaths of Lylla, Floor, and Teefs. These characters, though not central in the grand scheme of things, had etched their way into our hearts with their unique flaws, charm, and presence. Their exits from the story were not just moments in the plot - they were emotional landmarks that left a lingering and huge sense of loss and pain. It's the kind of cinematic moment where you find yourself wishing for a Men in Black-style memory eraser, just to dull the sharp pang of their unnecessary and cruelly played out departure.

The way these characters fit into the narrative made their loss feel all the more painful. It wasn't just the shock value or the gravity of the scenes, but the way their life stories were told to us in little tiny bits - so we could piece the sad and cruelty-filled moments ourselves. Marvel has always had a knack for making even the smallest characters matter, and in Guardians 3, they proved this yet again. The emotional impact was close to losing a dear pet, leaving a bittersweet feeling that lingered long after the credits rolled. As a matter of fact, anytime I rewatch Guardians 3, tears still flood my eyes and fall down my cheeks in this scene. Every. Time.

It's a testament to the excellent storytelling in the MCU that even as we wish we could forget these painful goodbyes, we also can't help but be grateful for the very brief and sad moments we shared with Lylla, Floor, and Teefs.

Verdict: A moment we wish we could forget!

As we sit pretty and wait for 2024 to arrive, we also await the next MCU adventures to entertain us.

Out of these moments, which ones did you enjoy or dislike the most?
