There has been a lot of speculation going on lately regarding Captain America: Brave New World, which is currently filming reshoots ahead of its release next year. The film is one of Marvel’s most anticipated projects and it's a film that will usher in a lot of change within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

For one thing, the film will become the first Captain America project to be led by Anthony Mackie’s Captain America as a direct follow-up to 2021’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Not only will we be getting a new Captain America, but we’ll get to see a new Falcon as well with Danny Ramirez’s Joaquin Torres taking up the mantle officially in the new film.

Then there is the fact that the film will bring Harrison Ford into the MCU via a major recast as Ford takes over the role of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, previously played by the late William Hurt. Oh, and now we’ve added Giancarlo Esposito to the mix as well in a mystery role that has fans talking – as it should!

Extract details around the plot of the film remain unconfirmed; however, a new report indicates Captain America: Brave New World is going to actually address one of Marvel’s most glaring plot holes as part of the film’s central plot.

Captain America 4 will finally address the end of Eternals

At the end of Eternals, the team stops the Emergence from coming, thus preventing the Celestial known as Tiamut from emerging from the core of the Earth – which would have led to the planet’s destruction. While the Eternals were successful in preventing Tiamut from emerging, they only managed to succeed in doing so after he had begun emerging from the Earth’s core which resulted in him being frozen and killed in the process.

The end result was a giant Celestial’s head and hand emerging from the ocean, something you’d think would have been mentioned in one of the dozen Marvel projects that have been released following Eternals. Yet, somehow, Marvel has just been casually ignoring the fact that there is a frozen Celestial just chilling in the ocean.

This unresolved plotline has been the brunt of many jokes as fans have poked fun at Marvel for literally ignoring this major plotline with not even a throwaway line to acknowledge the Celestial body or how it might have impacted Earth’s ecosystem and layout. Well, it seems the ending of Eternals is finally about to be addressed in Captain America: Brave New World.

According to scooper My Time to Shine, “The giant Celestial in the ocean is the main plot for Captain America: Brave New World,” which should be interesting.

While we absolutely agree that the Celestial should be acknowledged, it’s going to be interesting to see how they make it the central focus of the entire movie unless the movie is also going to make the Eternals presence on Earth known.

Could it be that the MCU finds a way to change up General Ross’s backstory into becoming Red Hulk by making the Celestial a part of his transformation? Could it perhaps lead to his transformation or be the reason he seeks to become Red Hulk? Perhaps Giancarlo Esposito’s character will come into play perhaps finding a way to weaponize the remains of the Celestial and creating a threat that Captain America must respond to.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Celestial’s frozen remains come into play within the plot of Captain America: Brave New World, but we’re honestly just relieved to know Marvel is finally going to address the ending of Eternals after ignoring it for all these years!
