Daredevil: Born Again cut a Young Avenger cameo in favor of a Hawkeye return

Daredevil: Born Again doesn't premiere on Disney+ until March 2025, but the rumor mill is hot with new information about who will cameo in the first season and, more importantly, who won't!

The latest from insider DanielRPK suggests there were plans to bring a fan-favorite Young Avenger into the mix in the first season of Daredevil: Born Again, but Marvel chose a member of her family instead.

Iman Vellani (Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel) was going to cameo in Daredevil: Born Again

According to the scooper, Iman Vellani, who stars as Kamala Khan, also known as Ms. Marvel, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), was going to make a cameo in Daredevil: Born Again. Instead, her character's father, Yusuf Khan, played by Mohan Kapur, will make a cameo appearance in the series.

Yusuf Khan's appearance was confirmed by attendees of this year's D23, where Marvel debuted a secret teaser trailer for Daredevil: Born Again. We saw Kapur play Kamala's father in Ms. Marvel, the series, and The Marvels.

I don't know why, but it's so funny imagining the writers trying to find a way to include Kamala Khan in the series and then settling for her dad! No offense to Yusuf Khan, of course!

Is there a chance that Vellani will also appear alongside Kapur in Daredevil: Born Again? It's possible, but usually, we know beforehand who is going to be in these projects. Secret cameos like we saw in Deadpool & Wolverine don't stay secret for long!

It's unclear when we'll see Kamala Khan in the MCU again if the character doesn't show up in Daredevil: Born Again. We'll keep you posted, though!

Swordsman will be in Daredevil: Born Again

Although rumor has it Vellani is on the sidelines for the upcoming Daredevil series on Disney+, another big cameo has been confirmed.

According to Daniel RPK and others, Jacques Duquesne, also known as Swordsman, played by Tony Dalton, will return in the first season of Daredevil: Born Again.

For those who don't recall, the last time we saw Swordsman was in Hawkeye, the Disney+ series released in 2021. It's been a while! We're still waiting to find out if Hawkeye season 2 is happening, but we're patient!

It'll be really interesting to see what Swordsman brings to the series, how he's introduced, and how he interacts with Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), also known as Daredevil, Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio), also known as Kingpin, and the rest of the gang!

As mentioned, we're still months and months away from the premiere of Daredevil: Born Again! I'm sure we'll learn a lot more about the series, who will join the cast, and what will happen soon!
