The Acolyte, Star Wars' latest addition to cinema, proved to be quite illuminating. From the revelation of a Khyber crystal's bleeding to the Stranger's remarkable cortosis helmet, it was indeed a memorable journey. A key question that arose was about the origin of Osha and Mae. Initially assumed to be mere twins, the actual answer was quite enlightening, opening up a whole new realm of possibilities. This may have also addressed a question that has been on many minds since the Prequel trilogy.

The Force Giveth

One question's answer, in true Star Wars tradition, led to several others. It was revealed that the leaders of a Force witch coven, Mother Koril, and Mother Aniseya, were the twins' parents. Koril carried them and Aniseya shaped them from the Force or Thread, as the Brendok witches referred to it. Once the twins were confirmed to have been born of the Force itself, certain dormant fan theories resurfaced.

To many, this scenario resembled The Phantom Menace, where Qui-Gon Jinn discovered that Anakin Skywalker was born without a father, as his mother Shimi carried and raised him. Anakin's birth is widely attributed to the Force's intervention, manipulating the midichlorians for Shimi to conceive. While some sources link this event to Darth Sidious or Palpatine, the truth remains unknown to this day.

And The Force Taketh...

At present, specifics regarding the upcoming Star Wars venture, Dawn of the Jedi are sparse. Set 25,000 years before the commencement of the Skywalker Saga, this production is directed by James Mangold and is reportedly inspired by Hollywood's biblical epics, such as The Ten Commandments and Ben-Hur. The Lucasfilm president, Kathleen Kennedy, has subtly suggested a potential connection between Dawn of the Jedi and the forthcoming "Rey Skywalker" film, implying that it might shed light on the inception of the new Jedi Order.

This raises an intriguing question: could the Prime Jedi have also been a being born from the Force? The mural on Ahch-To depicts the Prime Jedi as a balanced entity, embodying both light and darkness. This suggests that the Force might have created a being to restore equilibrium to the natural order, possibly after certain Force users attempted to misuse its power. The Star Wars universe has previously shown us the Sith's relentless pursuit of prolonging life, often at the expense of the Force and life itself.

The Bad Batch, The Mandalorian, and several other series have further highlighted the Sith's propensity for abusing the Force, further fuelling the speculation around the potential role of a Prime Jedi. If such a being indeed existed, their story could provide invaluable insights into the origins of the Jedi Order and the eternal struggle between the light and dark sides of the Force.

It would be quite poetic that the Sith’s attempts to gain immortality by abusing the Force would lead to the creation of their mortal enemy, the Jedi. And in the immortal words of George Lucas, “It is sort of like poetry, it rhymes.”
