The Man of Steel is as strong as they come, but which version of him is the strongest of all?

5. The DCEU Superman

The DC Extended Universe had a lot of faults, and it's moody portrayal of Superman was near the top of that list. However, in terms of capturing his larger-than-life strength, it pretty much hit the nail on the head... most of the time.

The Man of Steel was a formidable foe to anyone he took on, including even Batman. He was a relentless warrior in battle, demolishing Zod in his first real test of strength before battling Doomsday in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Though he ultimately lost his life in the second battle, he didn't go down until he took the demonic Doomsday with him, being the one to land the deadly blow weakening himself with that Kryptonite Spear just to do it.

Perhaps his most impressive outing was Zack Snyder's Justice League (life's better when we pretend the theatrical version didn't exist) as he defeated Steppenwolf with ease, refusing to allow the film's big bad to even land a single blow. And let's not forget that this was the same movie he single-handedly went toe-to-toe with every other member of the Justice League and basically won.

The DCEU's Man of Steel was incredibly durable, battle-tested in just about every way imaginable, and almost impossible to defeat. Doing all of that while possessing all of Supes' typical abilities makes him one of the screen's most formidable Supermen.

That said, we just wish the writing was a bit more consistent and he was allowed the time to showcase some other abilities outside of battles.
