How to watch Marvel's Echo online
By Mark Lynch
The last time fans saw Echo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe she had a gun pointed at Wilson Fisk in the Hawkeye finale. After the camera pans away in the Disney Plus series, the trigger is pulled. What happened after that remains to be seen. That being said, no one thought Maya killed the Kingpin. He's too popular to be killed offscreen.
Wilson Fisk's survival is confirmed in the Echo trailer. Whether or not she meant to kill him is unknown. However, the eyepatch Fisk is wearing could be from Maya shooting him in the face. One thing is certain. Maya and Wilson Fisk are going to war with each other in the former's upcoming five-part MCU series.
If you'd like to watch the show, here's everything you need to know about when and how to do that.
Echo release time and date
There are three major things to note about Echo. First, it’s the first Marvel Studios show to be released simultaneously on on Hulu and Disney+. Second, all five episodes will be available on the same day (January 9, 2024). Lastly, this is the first TV/MA-rated show released on Disney+.
All the details you need to know about how to watch the premiere (as well as the four episodes that come after it) can be found below:
Date: Tuesday, January 9, 2024
Time: 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT
Season: 1
Episodes: 1-5
TV info: Disney+ and Hulu
Live stream: Disney+, Hulu
The popularity of Echo will likely determined if more Marvel Studios shows will have the same TV-Ma rating. This leaves a lot of pressure on leading lady Alaqua Cox (Maya Lopez/Echo), Vincent D'Onofrio (Wilson Fisk), and the rest of the cast, crew, and creative team. Despite debuting on Hawkeye in 2022, Echo isn’t a well-known character to mainstream audiences.
On the other hand, not being an A-list character could work in her favor. With lower expectations, fans may revere it in higher regard than if the show starred Iron Man or Thor.
No matter what, Echo needs to succeed. Just like the comic books, Marvel Studios needs more variety. Otherwise, it’ll only be a matter of time before fans check out.
