There are a lot of reasons to be excited for the upcoming third Deadpool movie, but the biggest is undoubtedly Hugh Jackman's return as Wolverine. The aptly titled Deadpool and Wolverine will see Jackman reprise his role from Fox's legendary X-Men saga, as he teams up with Ryan Reynolds' mouthy mercenary Deadpool in an adventure that is set to bring both characters into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

One of the biggest selling points of Jackman's return in an MCU property is that it will allow him to don the comic-accurate Wolverine suit for the first time. Now, we have our first look at the completed suit, including the legendary cowl. And oh boy does he look amazing.

Hugh Jackman dons the comic-accurate cowl in Deadpool and Wolverine

The first look at Hugh Jackman in the classic Wolverine cowl has been unveiled at CinemaCon. It came via TheMoviePodcast on X, formerly known as Twitter, who spotted Deadpool and Wolverine cups at the event. Check the post out below and marvel at how epic he looks.

As the photos showcase, Jackman will don the iconic yellow and black/blue cowl that Wolverine has worn for years in the comics. It's incredibly comic-accurate, which isn't surprising considering how close to the source material the rest of the suit is.

We got our first look at Jackman in the suit in the form of set photos last year when the film formerly known as Deadpool 3 was still filming. It too bears a striking resemblance to the comics version, with the only real exception being that the film's version includes yellow sleeves.

The suit is a staple of Wolverine, with perhaps its most famous appearance being in X-Men: The Animated Series (as well as Disney Plus sequel series X-Men '97). It's still pretty crazy that it hasn't made its way into live-action as of yet. Thankfully that will all change when Logan returns to the big screen in the upcoming MCU film.

Jackman made his debut as the character in 2000's X-Men and went on to play the claw-wielding mutant in multiple sequels, prequels, and even his own Wolverine trilogy. The journey for the character concluded in 2017's critically-acclaimed Logan... or so we thought.

Seeing the actor back in the role is certainly going to be a big moment for many reasons, but seeing him finally get to don the suit and mask might be at the top of that list. Sporting Wolverine's classic comic-accurate look is a heck of a way to go out, and he looks absolutely amazing.
