We might have a long wait still ahead before Superman: Legacy soars onto the big screen, but James Gunn is serving up our first look at the cast together on set and it is everything we could have hoped for and more!

Commemorating the first table read with the cast, Gunn snapped a group selfie with the full cast as well as fellow DC head Peter Safran.

"After the table read with the Superman cast. Eve, Mr. Terrific, Superman/Clark, Otis, Lex, producer Peter Safran, Jimmy, Metamorpho, Lois, Hawkgirl, me, Guy, The Engineer all together for the first time! What a wonderful day," Gunn wrote in captioning the photo.

Featured in the photo are our new Superman and Lois David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan who look absolutely incredible and are all smiles in the group shot! Also featured in the photo is our newest Lex Luthor, Nicholas Hoult who is debuting a freshly shaved head clearly in preparation for taking on the role of Lex. Honestly, we're here for Hoult's dedication to the role and that he's actually opted to shave his head to capture Lex's signature look rather than opting for the use of a bald cap.

The photo also gives us a first look at many of the film's ensemble players, Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), Sara Sampaio (Eve Teschmacher), María Gabriela De Faría (Angela Spica aka The Engineer),
Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner aka Green Lantern), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl), Edi Gathegi (Michael Holt aka Mister Terrific), and Anthony Carrigan (Rex Mason aka Metamorpho).

With production officially underway on Superman: Legacy, it's going to be interesting to see how generous Gunn ends up being in giving us behind-the-scenes looks at the film. More importantly, we're really eager to see when DC will finally drop our first look at Corenswet in his Superman suit, though that might be way down the line!

Superman: Legacy will open in theaters on July 11, 2025.
