4. Vice Admiral Holdo (The Last Jedi)

Now here's one I can totally get behind. Vice Admiral Holdo certainly ruffled some feathers, and not in a good way. Imagine watching the latest installment of your favorite space saga, popcorn in hand, expecting epic battles and familiar heroes. Instead, you're introduced to Holdo, a character who at first seemed cool, but ultimately felt like she wandered in from a completely different movie. With her cool lavender hair and an unlikable demeanor that's as stiff as a board, Holdo feels more like a misplaced fashion model than a battle-hardened Vice Admiral. Most of us were left scratching our heads, wondering if there was a mix-up at the Star Wars character factory.

But it's not just her out-of-place look that irked the Star Wars faithful. Holdo's leadership style is absolutely atrocious, frustrating, and seemingly impossible to follow. She's entirely too secretive, absolutely sucks at communicating her plans, and loves to look down on our beloved heroes like Poe Dameron. He's not perfect by any means, but he's 10,000 times the character she is. We were left shouting at their screens when she absolutely refused to let the best pilot and strategist in the rebellion know of her plans. Her approach created unnecessary tension and confusion, both on the screen and in living rooms across the galaxy. It's like she's playing a game of intergalactic poker but forgets to deal cards to anyone else.

Holdo's recipe for unpopularity: one part mystery, two parts condescension, and a pretty sprinkle of lavender.
