35 of the best Easter Eggs and secrets in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
16. Scarecrow mask makes a return
At this point is pretty well known that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League takes place in the same world as the Batman: Arkham Saga. As a result, there are many throwbacks to the Cape Crusader's previous adventures before being corrupted by Brainiac, and one of those references can be seen inside a container in the Batcave. It appears Bruce confiscated Scarecrow's mask after the events of Arkham Knight, and now it's on display (alongside the rest of the villain's equipment) in the only place in the whole world where it can't fall on the wrong hands.
... Until the Suicide Squad breaks into Batman's lair, that is.
17. Demon Bat in Gotham
There's a newspaper headline hanging inside the Daily Planet that reads "Demon Bat in Gotham". While, at first glance, it would appear this is alluding to Man-Bat (a true, terrifying mix between a man and a bat), it's actually talking about Arkham Knight's ending.
If players 100% complete Rocksteady's final chapter in Batman's trilogy of video games, they'll be treated to a secret ending where Bruce Wayne fakes his death by exploding his manor house. Free of his "normal" life, Batman would live on as the "Demon Bat", a far scarier version of the Cape Crusader that uses Scarecrow's fear toxin to torment his enemies. It appears the Demon Bat's influence was so big that it even made headlines in Metropolis.
18. S.T.A.R. Labs has a building in Metropolis
S.T.A.R. Labs is well-known for being the headquarters of the CW's Flash, as well as a major tech laboratory in the greater DC universe. Much like Sivana's and Queen's industries, players can find a building of S.T.A.R. Labs hidden in plain sight on the streets of Metropolis.
19. The League of Assassins is name-dropped
At the very beginning of the game, the Suicide Squad is tasked with blowing up a wall in Metropolis' train station. After they do so, Deadshot reacts to the explosion by saying that he would be really angry if the League of Assassins started randomly popping out of the walls.
The shadowy organization led by Ra's Al Ghul was a major player in previous Batman: Arkham games, so it's nice to hear them be name-dropped in Rocksteady's latest project.
