1. Fleischer suit (Superman and Lois)

I don't know about you, but the moment in the pilot episode of Superman and Lois in which you see Tyler Hoechlin's Man of Steel don the iconic Fleischer suit made me tear up a little. Anticipation was already high for the series, but seeing that legendary suit as the show recreated the equally legendary cover of Superman's first ever comic book appearance; it was all very overwhelming (in the best kind of way).

The suit is a nod to the iconic Fleischer animated shorts that ran through the 1940s, which featured something of a different look for Superman. Superman and Lois adapted the look beautifully, bringing the unique House of El symbol, with the more rounded "S" shape popping against the black backdrop and yellow outline. The body of the suit was a duller, near-turquoise, blue, giving it more of a nostalgic feel, while the fact that it was "homemade" by Martha Kent was also a nod to the Man of Steel's earlier days.

Superman and Lois is a love letter to its title characters and their legacies, and this was the perfect example of that. It didn't have to feature this suit, but it did it anyway, and the result was a beautiful opening scene that will live in our hearts forever, and a wonderfully nostalgic episode that remains among its greatest. Needless to say, Hoechlin looked amazing in the suit.
