We knew a Deadpool 3 trailer was coming during Super Bowl LVIII, but we never expected Marvel Studios to drop a teaser that contained nearly as many exciting moments or teasers as Marvel managed to sneak in! The trailer gave fans a lot to process as it offered up our first look a Deadpool making his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut.
Not only did we get to see Deadpool break into the MCU, but the trailer also offered up our first glimpses at Hugh Jackman's Wolverine back in action. While we never see his face directly, the teases were just enough to get fans even more excited for what is to come.
Wolverine might have stolen the show in the Deadpool 3 trailer, but the Super Bowl spot actually featured the return of another X-Men character in a cameo that seems to have gone unnoticed by many.
The Deadpool 3 Super Bowl trailer features the return of Pyro!
During the Deadpool 3 Super Bowl trailer, fans were so distracted by the glimpses of Wolverine that they entirely missed the fact that the trailer brought with it the return of fellow OG X-Men: Pyro!
In a quick moment at the 1:51 mark of the trailer, we get a brief glimpse of actor Aaron Stanford back in action as Pyro amid a fight sequence. "God, I love this part," Pyro comments as he sits on the sideline amid a fight sequence.
If the cameo is any indication, it seems like we might be seeing quite a few former X-Men characters popping up across the upcoming film and we couldn't be more excited! Stanford originated the role of John Allerdyce in X-2, taking on the role of Pyro and returning in X-Men: The Last Stand.
Stanford will become the latest X-Men character to make the leap to the MCU, making it clear that Marvel is making major strides in bringing the X-Men into the mix. There is no telling who else might appear in Deadpool 3 but we should be in for some truly exciting cameos!
