The previous episode of School Spirits ended with the spirits, who are being called the Forgotten, grabbing Simon’s face. While it looked like they were attacking him, they weren’t. They were actually showing him how they died. It’s broken up in bits and pieces, but it was enough to know that something awful happened. This freaked Simon out enough for him not to go back into the scar. But it wasn't just that; Simon noticed that the white eyes man had the rosary beads from Simon’s birth.
Later, Xavier learned something major: The hospital where Maddie’s father’s spirit is located used to be a foundry. After it collapsed, all of the ghosts lost the ability to move on. That means, if Split River High School is demolished, all of the spirits won’t be able to cross over.
The biggest bomb may have been dropped when viewers learned that Alfred Van Heidt is the white-eyed man and the reason that he and the kids died in the school. He thought that if the children in the church died, the Finnish community would leave. But they didn’t, and he drowned with them.

What to expect in the next episode

Speaking of Alfred Van Heidt, whenever it seems like he’s doing something bad, it turns out that it’s not what it seems. Yes, so far, he seems like a deplorable man who tried to erase a community’s culture by killing kids to break their spirits. But what other information will the show reveal? Is he looking for a way to make up for it. Personally, I don’t think you can come back from what he did, but maybe it’s not what it seems. You don't have to wait much longer to find out.
