Superhero movies often keep fans guessing months before their release. With The Batman Part II, fans have been debating over who Sebastian Stan will play in Matt Reeves' Batman sequel, alongside Scarlett Johansson, Charles Dance, Sebastian Koch, and Brian Tyree Henry. Though Reeves did not confirm who Stan would play in the upcoming movie, fans think they have found the truth.
The Hollywood Reporter stated that Stan would portray Harvey Dent/Two-Face and that Johansson and Dance would play Harvey's wife and father, respectively. However, a recent photo of Stan with a buzz cut circulated online, which has convinced some that the actor won't play Dent but rather another member of Batman's rogues gallery: Victor Zsasz.

In DC comics, Zsasz is a serial killer who carves a tally mark on his body for every person he kills. Since Zsasz is bald in the source material, fans have speculated that Stan will portray the villain with a comic-accurate look in The Batman Part II. However, it is possible that Stan shaved his head to make it easier to apply Dent's makeup and prosthetics as Two-Face.
Despite that, industry scooper Jeff Sneider had previously reported that Stan will portray Zsasz in the upcoming sequel. Not only that, he stated that Brian Tyree Henry will play Harvey Dent instead, suggesting the Dent family will play a major part in the film's story.

What would Stan's role mean for The Batman Part II?
Stan is no stranger to portraying comic book villains on the big screen. After all, he became a household name playing Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A star like him playing such a lesser-known Batman villain suggests that Zsasz will have a sizable role in the movie.
Zsasz has had relatively small roles in past DC films. Actor Tim Booth portrayed the villain in a cameo role in Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins. Years later, Chris Messina played him as one of the Black Mask's henchmen in the DCEU film Birds of Prey.
Though Zsasz has appeared in other films, he never got the chance to show just how fearsome and deadly he truly is with the time he had. If Stan really does portray him in The Batman Part II, he and Reeves could make him a genuinely terrifying figure, similar to what the previous film did with the Riddler.
With so many conflicting reports about the movie, it is unclear who Stan will play in The Batman Part II. Whether he's Harvey Dent or Victor Zsasz, rumors still suggest that his character will be a grounded, frightening foe for the Dark Knight to face in Reeves' next film.
The Batman Part II premieres in theaters on February 18, 2028.
