The webslinger is once again ready to take over the world, as Spider-Man: Brand New Day prepares for what is shaping up to be a generational run at the box office. The newest entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is about ready to make its worldwide debut, with its international release rolling out midweek before the Thursday Night Previews / Friday Morning debut in the US. However, that hasn't stopped spoilers from leaking out about the movie's plot early - which has understandably rubbed fans up the wrong way.
The MCU movie from Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios stars Tom Holland in his fourth solo outing as Spider-Man in what is expected to be the launching pad for a brand new trilogy. Peter Parker is still dealing with the aftermath of Doctor Strange's spell in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home as his love Michelle Jones Watson (Zendaya) and best friend Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) don't remember that he exists. Neither does the rest of the world, which makes it hard to truly enjoy the love and adoration that he is receiving as Spider-Man.
While much of the plot has remained a mystery, certain elements from the movie have already begun to leak out, spoiling major reveals, plot twists, the post-credits scene, and even the mystery surrounding one of the central characters.
Marvel fans react to major Spider-Man: Brand New Day spoilers
In today's day and age of social media, it's really hard to keep a lid on spoilers. No, it's exponentially hard, as one leak from someone who's seen the movie can be all over the internet in seconds. And, as a result of that, it's almost impossible to prevent major plot points from highly-anticipated movies from leaking out to the wider public very, very quickly.
Despite that, Sony Pictures did its very best. Even when the first Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer leaked online in December, and the second one leaked a week earlier than it should have too, Sony was quick to respond, pulling all footage within minutes. The studio also successfully managed to keep a lid on the identity of Sadie Sink's mystery character, despite a multitude of searches and queries from around the world asking: "Who is Sadie Sink playing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day?" Unfortunately, that has managed to leak out since then.

This happened when singer and songwriter Steve Lacy, whose song "Oh Yeah?" is on the official Spider-Man: Brand New Day soundtrack was asked on the film's red carpet about his favorite character in the movie. He then proceeded to name Sink's long-rumored character by name, revealing who it was and what kind of arc she went on. This essentially confirmed who the villain of the movie is as well. While we won't be spoiling that in this particular post, you can see our coverage of that moment above for more details.
The post-credits scene has also leaked online repeatedly. Although Sony once again swiftly jumped into action and had the clips taken down with DMCA notices, the description of the scene has made its way around the internet - so a lot of fans are now aware of whether they should be sticking around to see the post-credits scene or not.

As for whether any character will actually die in the MCU movie, their fates have already been revealed too. Yes, that unfortunately means that if you search up "Who dies in Spider-Man: Brand New Day?", the answers will be online waiting for you. And considering that the international rollout hadn't even begun by the time that this happened, that's particularly wild.
Needless to say, Marvel fans will be doing their utmost to avoid spoilers and see Spider-Man: Brand New Day as it should be seen: Completely unspoiled. And we're rooting for them to do just that.
This is the final MCU movie on the pathway to Avengers: Doomsday, so it's undoubtedly going to be a major one. And we can't wait for its arrival!
Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrives in US theaters on July 31, 2026. Its international rollout has officially begun.
