Marvel's First Family are finally ready to make their presence felt in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That's right; for the first time in the legendary franchise, the famous foursome of superheroes are about to make their debut in what has quickly become one of the most-anticipated movies of 2025.

Marvel Studios has put together quite the ensemble cast, with Pedro Pascal starring as Reed Richards, a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby playing Sue Storm, a.k.a. the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn taking on the role of Johnny Storm, a.k.a. the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach playing Ben Grimm, a.k.a. the Thing. But the Fantastic Four aren't the only stars in the film, as they are joined by Julia Garner as the Silver Surfer as the Silver Surfer and Ralph Ineson as Galactus.

Fans are ready for the reboot, and they don't have to wait much longer for the film to arrive in theaters. Before that, however, Marvel Studios has released the first look trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Although they were expecting the trailer to be released during the upcoming Super Bowl this weekend, which will see the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles, the decision was made to release it earlier in the week instead on "F4" day - February 4. And we couldn't be happier.

Marvel's First Family arrives in the MCU in the first trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps

After holding a launch event for the first trailer for The Fantastic Four First Steps in Atlanta which featured the four stars of the movie, Marvel Studios have unveiled the preview for the world to see. And to call it immersive would be an understatement, for it instantly shows fans what to expect from the heavily-anticipated film.

The first thing that is clear about the movie is its unique aesthetic. The preview clip released the day before the trailer's launch alluded to this and it's on full display here. The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set in the 1960s in an alternate timeline as part of the MCU's Multiverse Saga and that's part of what makes it so unique.

The trailer opens with Sue Storm and Reed Richards welcoming a visitor to the Baxter Building, telling them that they always make a point of having family dinner. Right away, it gives us an idea that the feeling of this movie will be very different from its Marvel predecessors. It also offers up our first look at the outside of the Baxter Building, H.E.R.B.I.E., and Ebon Moss-Bachrach's The Thing. To say that one was heavily-anticipated would be an understatement.

The trailer also dives into the accident that turned the four into the super-powered heroes they are destined to become, with Reed Richards acknowledging how they couldn't do all of the amazing things they can now back then. But Sue Storm reminds him that they have all been Fantastic in their own way, alluding to the idea that the powers just enhanced what was already there.

During that montage, however, we are given the chance to see a glimpse of the accident itself, with Reed attempting to protect Sue from any damage - only for her to begin turning invisible right before his eyes. We see Johnny using his abilities as he flies through the New York City as the Human Torch, as well as Ben Grimm adjusting to his new life as The Thing - reflecting on how he once looked and struggling with his new appearance.

But, as Sue reminds Reed, they have always faced anything that comes their way as a family - and they will continue to do that here.

Speaking of our First Family, the trailer also offers up our first official look at Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach suited up as our titular heroes, and to see them there in their comic-accurate, vintage suits, it really is a sight to behold. That's the closing shot of the trailer, and a triumphant one to bow out on.

Prior to that, however, we are given our first glimpse of Galactus, who forms over the city of New York as the Fantastic Four look on. Ralph Ineson will be bringing him to life and we have no doubt that if he sounds anything as formidable as he looks (which we know he will), we are in for one heck of a haunting MCU baddie.

To say that we're excited to see the Fantastic Four in action in the MCU would be an understatement. This trailer did everything that it needed to, and so much more. And we are ready to see all of them stand tall against whatever threats - cosmic, multiversal, or otherwise - come their way.

This will be the fourth mainstream movie focused on the Fantastic Four (coming after 2005's Fantastic Four, its 2007 sequel Rise of the Silver Surfer, and the infamous 2015 reboot Fantastic Four, a.k.a. Fant4stic). It's the first to take place as part of the MCU, and that sets this one apart, as it finally brings Marvel's First Family home to the worlds of the MCU.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is released in movie theaters on July 25, 2025.
