The previous episode of The Legend of Vox Machina season 4 had the perfect balance of silly and emotional. On the goofy side, Vex and Keyleth drink and share their feelings about how they’ve each felt betrayed. But even in this goofiness lies something deep. The two heroes decided to visit the shrine of the Matron. Upon arrival, Keyleth admits that she is hurting because she feels that she won’t be able to save the man she loves, Vax, who’s also having a crisis of his own.
Meanwhile, Vax tells Percy the truth about why he’s upset with him. He isn’t mad that Percy married his sister. Vax is crushed that wasn’t there to celebrate their marriage and, thanks to the blight, won’t be alive long enough to be there for more good moments. And for the first time since getting the blight, Percy admits that he’s not ready to die.
What may be sadder is Pike having to witness the death of her Pop-Pop at the hands of the Children of Truth (led by Luisa) and Dragon Lung. And before she could kill Luisa for what she'd done, the Shadow-Ninja shows up and does it. But who is the Shadow-Ninja? It’s none other than a long thought dead villain from season 1, Delilah Briarwood.

The Legend of Vox Machina season 4 episodes 7, 8, and 9 are set to premiere in the US on Wednesday, June 17, at 3:00 a.m. ET, 12:00 a.m. PT, 1:00 a.m. MT, and 2:00 a.m. CT on Prime Video. Just as they did last week, the next three episodes (titled “The Ghosts of Whitestone”, "The Bard's Lament", and "The Temple of Truth") will premiere together, meaning that we have another three installments to enjoy this week!

What to expect in the next episodes of The Legend of Vox Machina
According to the episode synopsises for the upcoming installments (which are dictated by Taryon Darrington to Doty), fans will finally see the return of the man, the myth, the gnome, the legend, SCANLAN SHORTHALT! Having him gone for so long this season proved two things. First, The Legend of Vox Machina can survive for a time without him. But it also showed that the team needs him. Well, they need his sword at the very least. However, as great as it will be to see Scanlan, the storyline surrounding Pike is the most important going forward.
Pike learns that one of her ancestors helped stop a sorcerer in the past. With that knowledge, and knowing that his hand is directly tied to her grandfather’s death, Pike is more determined than ever to stop the Children of Truth and the Necro-Ninja, a.k.a. Delilah Briarwood. But, as we've seen from The Legend of Vox Machina, everything comes with a price. What will it cost them this time?
Furthermore, how did Delilah Briarwood return? Sure, characters never stay dead in shows like this, but I'm certain fans of The Legend of Vox Machina want to know how and why she's back.
