It isn't a secret that Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shaping up to be a crowded movie. Both the Punisher and Hulk are confirmed to show up in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe project, while the Scorpion will officially make his live-action debut after his appearance was teased in the Spider-Man: Homecoming post-credits scene back in 2017.
As if that wasn't enough, rumor has it that many more villains—such as Tombstone, Tarantula, Boomerang, Ramrod, and Rhino—will wreak havoc in the streets of New York City. If that turns out to be the case, then the web-slinger will need all the help he can get, and it seems Marvel is keen on delivering on that promise.
A previously unrevealed Marvel actor has reportedly joined the cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and they are set to reprise the role of a hero who completely stole the spotlight in one of the MCU's best movies to date. After the whole world forgot his identity, it seems Peter is bound to make plenty of new friends.
Yelena Belova's Black Widow will reportedly appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day
According to renowned and reliable insider Daniel Ritchtman, Florence Pugh will portray the role of Yelena Belova in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. This would mark the character's fourth MCU appearance, and the first time audiences will see her as a New Avenger following the events of Thunderbolts*.

Details about Yelena's involvement remain under wraps. However, there are two very likely options: Either she'll be in the post-credits scene to tease what's to come in Avengers: Doomsday, or she'll actively try to put a stop to a bigger, rampaging threat in the wall-crawler's upcoming adventure.
It has been heavily reported that Professor Hulk will be no more, as the Green Goliath will turn into Savage Hulk during the events of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. If that turns out to be the case, then New York would be in greater danger than the likes of Scorpion could provoke. Insider Daniel Richtman also revealed that the reason Punisher will appear in the movie is to put a stop to Bruce Banner's uncontrollable rampage, and a similar scenario could be in store for Yelena.
As one of the main faces of The New Avengers, Yelena will surely need to address a monster wreaking havoc in the city (while the rest of the team looks into the "huge space crisis" mentioned during the Thunderbolts* post-credits scene). Granted, Punisher and Yelena are street-level anti-heroes without any superpowers, so it will be interesting to see how they'll try to level up the battlefield to stop the Savage Hulk. Furthermore, none of these characters have had a major interaction on the big screen before, and they all have radically different personalities, so fans are bound to have a really entertaining ride.
It's hard to imagine that Savage Hulk will be the main villain of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, so there's a chance that a bigger threat will be pulling the strings from the shadows. So even if Frank Castle and Yelena Belova help Spidey stop Bruce Banner's destruction, it might be up to the wall-crawler to put an end to the mastermind behind the whole operation.
With a bit of luck, official announcements regarding Spider-Man: Brand New Day will come our way the closer we get to the end of filming, and Yelena's appearance is officially confirmed. On the bright side, it won't be long before we finally get to experience the wall-crawler's upcoming adventure for ourselves.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released on Jul. 31, 2026.
