Tom Holland's suit in Spider-Man: Brand New Day reportedly revealed

The wall-crawler will start a new chapter in his live-action franchise, so does that mean he'll wear a new suit as well? We may finally have an answer.

Sometimes it can be pretty difficult for the wall-crawler to change his suit, considering he's a broken teenager from Queens without the resources of other big heroes such as Iron Man. However, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has given him the chance to sport many iconic costumes over the years. While Tom Holland's Spider-Man had five different looks alone in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it's pretty much universally agreed that Marvel saved the best for last.

The classic suit worn at the end of Spidey's latest movie was nothing short of perfection, and it left us all wanting to see more of it. As such, fans have wondered if the wall-crawler will keep having the same design moving forward, or if something new is on the cards. After all, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will represent a new chapter in the hero's franchise.

With Jon Watts stepping down from the director's role and Destin Daniel Cretton taking his place, you'd imagine this upcoming film would try to differentiate itself as much as possible from previous entries. As such, it wouldn't be too shocking to learn that Spider-Man will get a completely new look, but will that be the case? Fortunately, we might finally have an answer.

Peter will reportedly keep the suit from the end of No Way Home in Brand New Day

In a post published on The Cosmic Circus, reliable industry insider Alex Perez revealed that there "won't be that much of a change" between the suit audiences saw at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home and the one Peter will use in his upcoming adventure, Brand New Day.

The wording is certainly interesting, as saying there won't be a big alteration in the design implies some tweaks and changes will still be made. However, the overall look should look mostly the same. Perhaps we'll face a similar scenario to that of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2, where Peter's costume was slightly different, but it was very hard to recognize when watching the movie for the first time around.

Aside from Andrew Garfield's superhero look in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Tom Holland's classic suit might be the best-looking in more than 20 years of live-action adaptations. As such, it's great to know we might get to see more of it, especially after it was heavily speculated that Marvel was looking to change it.

During the Disney Blockbuster Consumer Products presentation, promotional art was used in which Spidey was wearing a different costume not used in any live-action project before. While many were quick to assume this was our first official look at the hero's next look, it was later revealed that the image was simply an old Spidey render used in other materials as well. For the time being, there's no evidence that indicates Peter will craft a new costume just in time for the beginning of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. But when can we expect an official confirmation?

Filming for the highly anticipated movie will reportedly begin in late July in London. Once production begins, it's likely that set pictures will make their way online. While Spider-Man as a whole has mostly been created with CGI in previous MCU projects, a physical costume will be crafted and used for shooting, at least for reference. This means we aren't far away from officially discovering if Peter will keep the same suit moving forward, and with a little bit of luck, it will look exactly the same as the one seen at the end of No Way Home (because, let's face it, that one was simply perfect).

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released on July 31, 2026.
