4. EA Motive's Iron Man

The superhero video game industry was recently shocked by the cancellation of Marvel's Black Panther, which didn't even get to have a concept trailer before being axed. Such a move also put into question the future of other superhero titles also developed by Electronic Arts, but luckily for us, EA Motive's Iron Man is still coming our way.

Not much is officially known about Tony Stark's upcoming adventure other than it's a single-player, action-adventure title (hopefully, that means no micro-transactions or battlepasses, but you never can be too sure with EA). Considering that it was first announced almost three years ago in September 2022, we shouldn't be too far away from a proper reveal. Furthermore, a new unconfirmed leak claims the game won't be released for another two years, at the very least, and that it will implement a flying mechanic similar to that of Anthem. On the bright side, EA Motive is the developer behind acclaimed titles such as the Dead Space remake and Star Wars: Squadrons, so it seems Marvel's Iron Man is in safe hands.

5. Deadpool VR

What if we could actually be in the shoes of the Merc With A Mouth? Well, that's the question that Deadpool VR will try to answer. This Meta Quest 3 adventure will give players access to a huge arsenal of weapons, which includes a pair of Katanas, a grappling hook, a shotgun, and handguns to battle Mephisto and other iconic Marvel villains. Furthermore, the iconic third-wall-breaking humor we expect of Wade Wilson will be present as well (as even the anti-hero himself jokes that he'd prefer to be developed by Insomniac Games).

Neil Patrick Harris is in charge of voicing Deadpool, and the reveal trailer alone reveals that he was the perfect choice. While some might be skeptical of the VR experience, it's worth pointing out that games such as Batman: Arkham Shadow and Iron Man VR were released to critical success and praise from fans. With a little bit of luck, Deadpool VR will be able to capture a bit of that same magic as well.
