8. Invincible VS

For a very long time, superhero fans have been asking for the Invincible franchise to get the video game treatment. It even got to the point where Skybound Entertainment launched a crowdfunding campaign to make such a dream come true, and it raised almost $700 thousand in just 15 days. Fast-forward just a little over a year after the funding was complete, and Invincible VS is a reality.

This 3v3 tag fighting game is nothing short of violent (as made clear by the reveal trailer). Mark Grayson, Omni-Man, Atom Eve, Bulletproof, and Thula are currently expected to be playable characters, with more waiting to be announced. Furthermore, Invincible VS will feature a variety of game modes, including competitive and casual multiplayer, arcade, training, and even a single-player campaign. Fortunately, we aren't far away from trying out the game for ourselves, as it's expected to be released in 2026.

Unnanounced (but likely) superhero games

Aside from the eight titles discussed so far, there are even more coming our way. For starters, the EA and Marvel collaboration was supposed to encompass three different games. One of them is EA Motive's Iron Man, another has already been cancelled, and the third one is still waiting to be announced on this very date. This mystery adventure is reportedly still in development, and hopefully, we'll get to learn more soon.

We also need to address the elephant in the room: While Marvel's Spider-Man 3 hasn't been officially confirmed by Insomniac Games, we all know it's coming our way. After all, the latest instalment in the franchise concluded with Doctor Octopus promising that the "final chapter" is upon us.

Last, but certainly not least, we know that both WB Games Montreal and Rocksteady Studios are working on a single-player game that could very well be based on a DC property (an idea that is supported by their release track record). Unfortunately, it might be a long while before we hear about any of them, but with a bit of luck, DC will also develop more titles as they are really far behind in the race as of now.
