Andor

There have been a lot of differing opinions on Disney Plus' Star Wars shows. Most love The Mandalorian, many love Obi-Wan Kenobi, and, well, The Book of Boba Fett generated a lot of discussion. And then there's Andor; a show that some might have been sleeping on early on, but has since been recognized as a true masterpiece in the Star Wars universe.

Yes, Andor's first season was critically-acclaimed, with a huge amount of praise directed towards its complex storytelling and strong scripts. Meanwhile, audiences were absolutely living for Diego Luna's reprisal of his Rogue One: A Star Wars Story character. It offered up the backstory that fans were craving from the character while also spotlighting him in a way that his movie appearance simply couldn't. It was also just a gripping spectacle that slowly built tension and enthralled viewers with each passing episode.

With that in mind, it is somewhat surprising that Disney and Lucasfilm have opted to end it after just two seasons, but it is something of a miniseries that set out to tell its own story. That's what it has been doing, and that very story will indeed come to an end on April 22, when the second and final season premieres.

We'll be sad to see this Star Wars story conclude but it has sure left us wanting more. There is no doubt that we will feel the same way come season 2.
