Marvel Studios is working towards its next "endgame". Just as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's 11-year long Infinity Saga concluded with Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, the Multiverse Saga looks to do the same with the upcoming double-finale of Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. And to say audiences are ready would be a major understatement.

The first of those two upcoming movies already features a star-studded cast, as the studio unveiled at least 27 major names set to appear in the film. Among those stars are Thor star Chris Hemsworth, Captain America star Anthony Mackie, Shang-Chi star Simu Liu, the casts of Thunderbolts*, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and even returnees from the original X-Men movie series - most of whom are set to make their MCU debut in the film. And they all join Robert Downey Jr. who returns to the legendary franchise in the new role of villain Doctor Doom.

Yes, star-studded doesn't even begin to describe what's in store for audiences from these two movies. Now, two more stars have joined the cast of both films, and to say they are unexpected castings might be an understatement.

Just the Nobodys hosts join Avengers 5 and 6 cast

Bet you thought you'd never read that heading. But it's true, hosts of podcast Just the Nobodys, Ryan and Daniel Omoto, have joined the cast of both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars in mystery roles. The pair have become social media sensations over the past few years so, of course, they made the announcement themselves on social media with a video clip that explains everything.

Speaking with Joe Russo (one half of Avengers directing duo the Russo Brothers along with his brother Anthony), the duo revealed how the director was their first ever interview while Russo Brothers-directed movie The Gray Man was their first ever red carpet, and they therefore wanted to pitch an Avengers offer to him: Appearing in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars if they get an AGBO tattoo. Russo says he wouldn't even make them do that, offering them the chance to appear in the movies then and there:

"You can totally be in the movie... You're in the movie and I have the perfect two parts. Uh huh, I got a good idea."

Naturally, this was an unexpected announcement considering it will mark the first movie roles for Ryan and Daniel, but it's a really cool one too since they are such big fans of both Marvel and the Russos. Naturally, fans are speculating as to what kinds of roles the pair could play. But the Russos did reply to the video with the comment: "See you on set...".

As we mentioned earlier, both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars are shaping up to be star-studded affairs, and for good reason. With Victor von Doom potentially threatening the existence of the entire Marvel Multiverse, it's looking like we're going to see a team of heroes from Marvel's past, present, and likely future unite on-screen to take him.

Given the studio's fondness for surprise returns and cameos, we reckon that there are far more surprises in store for the film and that many of them won't actually be known to audiences until they're all in the movie theaters watching the movie itself. Throughout the franchise's Multiverse Saga, we've been surprised by Patrick Stewart's Professor Charles Xavier and John Krasinski's Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Men in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Chris Evans' Johnny Storm, Jennifer Garner's Elektra, Wesley Snipes' Blade, and Channing Tatum's Blade in Deadpool and Wolverine. You can bet the two Avengers movies will find a way to outdo even those.

Avengers: Doomsday arrives in movie theaters on December 18, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars arrives on December 17, 2027.
