Marvel confirms cast for Avengers: Doomsday as MCU film begins production
Marvel Studios has officially confirmed that Avengers: Doomsday is in production via a livestream that went out to fans on social media platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube. The studio also took this opportunity to confirm who would be joining the cast of the star-studded affair, announcing a new name every 15 minutes through the names on the film set chairs.

Although that is the primary cast for Avengers: Doomsday, there are still expected to be a number of major additions to the project in the form of surprises. It's worth remembering that a number of the Deadpool and Wolverine cast members weren't announced ahead of time, and the Avengers: Endgame returnees were also kept as major secrets until the film's release. Given that Doomsday will directly lead into Secret Wars, we're expecting more cast additions throughout the movie and an even larger cast come the sequel.
The announcement came after rumors had leaked out about a major MCU announcement about 24 hours earlier, with fans spending the remained of that day predicting what it might be. They didn't expect this lengthy of an announcement but it's clear that the MCU franchise knows it is capable of drumming up as much excitement as ever.
