Spider-Man: Brand New Day is already shaping up to be a must-see film for superhero fans, which is an impressive feat considering we only have set pictures and videos to go by. However, it's impossible not to feel excited when it seems as if the wall-crawler jumped straight from comic book pages and onto the real world in Marvel's next big production.
Some swinging scenes will have the added benefit of being filmed in location, and the action set pieces appear to be bigger than ever before. Coupled with the news that anti-heroes such as Punisher and Hulk will have a role to play, it's easy to see why we're all eager to find out what Peter's next chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be like. Fortunately, that day might not be far away.
Promotional material for Spider-Man: Brand New Day was released on the very first day of production. As such, fans theorized that perhaps Marvel wouldn't wait until 2026 to unveil an official trailer, even if the Super Bowl seems like a more secure guess. But while the superhero giant has yet to hint at when we'll get a sneak peek, insiders have finally reported on a date. The best part? It appears we won't have to wait long.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer will reportedly be attached to Avatar: Fire and Ash
TrailerTrack—a page dedicated to tracking the release date of movie trailers—has reported that the first look at Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be attached to Avatar: Fire and Ash, which is scheduled to be released on Dec. 19, 2025. Furthermore, scooper The Beyond Reporter also doubled down on this information, while also theorizing that the trailer will be simultaneously released online for everyone to see.
If the information proves to be true, then audiences could get a glimpse of many anticipated projects this December. After all, it has been rumored for a long time now that the first Avengers: Doomsday teaser will also be attached to Avatar: Fire and Ash, along with a new look at Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, in which Tom Holland is also set to make an appearance.
At first glance, it could seem a bit strange for Marvel to compete against itself by releasing anticipated first looks at two major superhero projects at the same time. However, given that the two Avatar movies released so far have earned over $2 billion at the worldwide box office each, it's clear why this is a great opportunity for a massive promotional push. Furthermore, it also helps that Disney owns Marvel itself as well as the distribution rights for the Avatar movies. If there's a chance that superhero fans will watch James Cameron's next epic just for the Avengers trailer that plays before it, then it's a win-win situation.
If the trailers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday are released this December, then chances are both movies will have yet another major promotional push during the Super Bowl 2026, which would prove to be the right movie. Marvel has struggled at the Box Office, even with critically acclaimed projects such as Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four: First Steps. If the company were to have underwhelming results yet again with some of their biggest IPs, such as Spider-Man and the Avengers, then the future of the MCU as a whole would be put under heavy scrutiny. That's why it wouldn't be surprising for Disney to promote both movies as much as possible.
Superhero fans could have a big Christmas gift later this December. Of course, it's likely that the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day won't reveal much. But as long as it gives us our very first look at the Punisher on the big screen, it will be memorable. Besides, there could be a chance that the main villain is also revealed, putting an end to months of speculation. On the bright side, we don't have to wait long to get some much-needed answers if the recent reports are anything to go by.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released on Jul. 31, 2026.
