Reminder: Tomorrow Is Halloween ComicFest

It’s not as famous as its springtime cousin Free Comic Book Day, but Halloween ComicFest is another opportunity to support your local comic shop and pick up some free comics — and it’s tomorrow.

Obviously, the focus is on the spookier side of comics, but there’s something for a variety of tastes and ages being offered on Saturday at participating retailers. The 2014 offerings include the following full size and mini-comics:

What do you have to do to get a free comic at your LCS during Halloween ComicFest? Just show up probably, though stores who are really into it also use the event as a jumping off point for sales, costume contests and other fun stuff. Mine certainly does.

If you aren’t sure if the stores near you are taking part, first, use this handy store locator to find one that is. Then, mercilessly razz the ones that aren’t. Okay, not really. Unless you think it will help for next year.

And remember, comics are better for your teeth than candy. Just don’t eat them.
