Top 10 Super Hero Video Games Of All Time
By Nick Tylwalk
7. X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse
This is on the list simply because it was on the N-Gage! What, you didn’t have one of those? Did you know anybody who did?
Obscure gaming handhelds aside, this game has a little bit of everything: a long (some gamers say too long) winding story, a range of locations that stretches from Egypt to the Savage Land to Genosha, and a villain who was waiting to be done justice by video games, Apocalypse. X-Men Legends II came out after the X-Men were at their peak popularity as a franchise, but before the Avengers really kicked it into high gear, so they were still pretty much Marvel’s top dogs, and this game packs in a ton of them.
Like Ultimate Alliance, this is also a good game to play side-by-side with friends. In fact this title shares a lot of the same positive attributes with the one immediately before it on my list, and I think the only thing that puts this one slightly ahead in my mind is its focus on just the X-Men. Really, though, as far as super hero action-RPGs go, both are top notch.
