Top 10 Super Hero Video Games Of All Time

2. Batman: Arkham Asylum
It’s fair to say we never saw a Batman game quite like this when it first came out. It’s tough to believe it’s over five years old as I type this.
As tempting as it is to say “Everything!” if someone asks what’s so great about Arkham Asylum, I’ll try to break it down a little more than that. Start with a tremendous, original story, with versions of the Dark Knight and his foes that are instantly recognizable yet uniquely their own.
The story is also great, as Arkham Asylum really comes to life as if it’s a character too. There’s just enough challenge to the gameplay for people who think video games as a whole have become too easy, and some of the stages are truly memorable. The confrontation with Scarecrow while under the effects of his fear toxin? That’s good stuff.
It almost goes without saying, but the voice cast is out of this world, led by the reassuringly familiar Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as Joker. Even the combat is well thought-out, nailing the feel (there’s that word again) of what it would be like to have Batman’s fighting skills at your disposal.
This game put Rocksteady Studios on the map, and rightfully so. But it wasn’t done yet …
