Spoiler-Free Reaction 

Enticed by the official synopsis, I thought I was going to get a heist and a surprising twist.  But I was quite disappointed by the mediocre storytelling and writing.  The plot was actually quite predictable and Catwoman’s motivations were uncompelling.  Also, being dialogue heavy, the story was that much more difficult to get through.  The highlight of this issue was the art.

Spoilerific Plot Points

  • Matthew Falcone, nephew of Carmine Falcone, is in a relationship with Selina Kyle.  The two plan to steal from Gotham’s biggest crime families.
  • Matthew Falcone kills Selina Kyle in a car rigged with explosives.
  • Matthew Falcone is killed by the rest of the crime bosses due to their offshore account being empty.
  • Selina Kyle is actually alive.  She faked her own death so the crime families would never hunt her.
  • No current tie-in to Futures End.
