Official Synopsis

Spoiler-Free Reaction
Justice League Dark: Futures End #1 does a great job providing just enough mysteries to keep the reader interested. Though not a compelling story, the writers use twist upon twist which captivates the audience. Thought the narrated exposition and dialogue style made the story a bit laborious at times, the tease of a payoff made the read worthwhile.
Spoilerific Plot Points
- Zatanna and the others find a mysterious, unconscious man.
- When the man awakens, they find out that his name is Eric Maitland Augustine. He was part of a society of mystics in Victorian London.
- Augustine promises to help Zatanna find a way to escape the dimension.
- It’s later discovered that Augustine has already died and his body was being used by a being known as Non (not the Kryptonion Non). Non wanted to trick Zatanna and her group so as to consume their magical powers.
- Succeeding in their fight against Non, Zatanna vows to find a way home.
- No current tie-in to Futures End.
