Batman vs Robin Blu-Ray Pre-Orders are Up!

At SDCC we learned about DC Animation’s 2015 line-up, some of which will herald the triumphant return of Batman: The Animated Series’s Bruce Timm. Batman vs Robin is part of next year’s plans and it’s currently a GO for pre-orders! The film is loosely based on the recent Court of Owls story arc.

"Batman: The Court of Owls is a Batman storyline published as part of The New 52. Following the timeline reboot in Flashpoint, it establishes his continuity in the DCnU. It’s the debut arc of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo on their all-new Batman title. The storyline is published alongside three other launches, Born to Kill,Faces of Death and Knight Terrors. Establishing a new mythology, it leads directly into the Night of the Owls crossover.The Court of Owls is an ancient conspiracy that has controlled Gotham City for centuries. They are a violent cabal who use architecture and murder to wield political influence throughout history. Their legend is told only through whispers and a nursery rhyme that bears their name. To carry out their interests, they employ a breed of highly-trained assassins known as Talons. The leaders of the organization appear to be human and wear owl masks on their faces. The rest of the court, on the other hand, are mutated and appear to actually be human/owl hybrids. Their owl-like distorted faces, long claws, and their eating style prove this."
