People Still Can’t Get Enough Spider-Gwen
By Nick Tylwalk
Given the reaction to the Gwen Stacy Spider-Woman, it’s no wonder that Marvel is giving her a solo series, Spider-Gwen, in February. Heck, the company probably wishes it could get one out even sooner.

Marvel announced yesterday that “due to overhwelming demand” — a phrase that can turn into hyperbole but seems applicable in this case — Edge of Spider-Verse #2 is going back for a third print run. That would be the issue that first introduced us to Spider-Gwen under the guidance of writer Jason Latour and artist Robbi Rodriguez.
As we’ve said before, it helps that this wasn’t just a move to exploit the Spider-fans’ undying love for Stacy, but that the issue was actually good as well, drawing rave reviews from most of the major comics sites. Ideally, Spider-Gwen keeps up that same level of quality, and since it will launch with the same creative team responsible for her debut, it figures to have a good chance.
If you still need to see what all the fuss is about, the third printing of Edge of Spider-Verse #2 will be in stores on November 26. Spider-Gwen should also feature prominently in the Spider-Verse event, which kicks off in earnest with issue #1 on November 12.
