Spider-Man Unlimited: Spider-Man 2099 Should Have A Different Voice
By Nick Tylwalk
This is probably getting into nitpicking territory. In fact, I’m almost positive it is, since Spider-Man Unlimited is a pretty cool game overall. and Gameloft keeps giving players reasons to come back with new characters and events.

One of those characters is Spider-Man 2099, the first Spider-Man in the game who isn’t Peter Parker or a clone of Peter. He looks awesome, which is no surprise since the 2099 costume has grown to be a classic in its own right.
But why does he still sound like Peter?
I get it from a logistics standpoint. It probably didn’t make much sense to get a voice actor just for Miguel O’Hara when not even all of the game’s players are going to have him on their teams (he’s currently not that easy to acquire). It’s an unnecessary expense for a mobile game.
It’s just that hearing Peter’s quips play while you’re running and swinging as Miguel does take you out of the game just a bit. Spider-Man 2099 is funny in his own way (especially when Peter David is writing him), but his sense of humor is different from the one we associate with the regular Spider-Man. It would be nice to see that difference in the game.
Besides, we already know that Spider-Girl is showing up in the not too distant future. Surely, she’s not going to have the Peter Parker voice too, right Gameloft?
Sorry about the nitpicking. Keep up the good work otherwise.
