Hiddleston, Hemsworth To Return For Thor: Ragnarok In 2017
By Nick Tylwalk
Tom Hiddleston’s legion of fans may disagree, but Loki can’t be in every Marvel movie. He will, however, return for the third Thor film, which should make a lot of people very happy.

Marvel officially announced that film as Thor: Ragnarok during its event at the El Capitan Theatre on Tuesday in Los Angeles, giving it a release date of July 28, 2017. That was the date initially announced for the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, but that movie has been bumped up to May 5, 2017.
Studio head Kevin Feige didn’t speak at length about the movie, but did say that Ragnarok means “the end of all things.” He also later revealed to Marvel.com that the film picks up Thor’s story right where he is left at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron and impacts everything that comes after.
But could it also have an effect on movies that come out before it as well? Thor was famously off the table for the beginning of the Civil War storyline in the comics, making his appearance partway through the event that much more dramatic. As his power could certainly tip the scales one way or the other in the Captain America: Civil War movie due out in 2016, it’s only natural to wonder if Age of Ultron will have the God of Thunder otherwise occupied and off-planet.
Expect to hear a lot more about Thor: Ragnarok as more information on Marvel’s Phase Three slate is released.
