Idris Elba Says He And Tom Hiddleston Are In Avengers: Age Of Ultron
By Nick Tylwalk
Well here’s a pleasant surprise. No one expected to see any of Thor’s supporting players in Avengers: Age of Ultron. No one’s been listed in the cast at any time, and Tom Hiddleston fans seemed pretty bummed that we wouldn’t be seeing Loki.

But according to Heimdall, otherwise known as actor Idris Elba, we will see him and Loki in the Avengers sequel. That comes directly from an interview that Elba did with the Telegraph in his native U.K., where he pretty much spilled the beans on what was probably supposed to be a secret:
"I’m in Avengers. And I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, and they’re like, “Aren’t you [meant to be] in Ibiza?”"
That’s a reference to where Elba is supposed to be instead of shooting scenes for Age of Ultron. That doesn’t mean Heimdall and Loki will be prominently featured in the film, but it does suggest something this writer has suspected all along’ namely, that something will happen in Asgard that demands Thor’s attention and leaves him effectively unavailable to take sides in the upcoming Civil War between Captain America and Iron Man.
All that means is that you shouldn’t go see Avengers: Age of Ultron just to see Elba and Hiddleston, but you can consider them a nice added bonus. Both men are likely to be front and center for Thor: Ragnarok, which is coming in 2017.
