Chris Samnee is pretty darn good at his current job illustrating Daredevil for Marvel. So good, in fact, that it helped him win the 2013 Eisner Award for Best Penciller/Inker. Still, that doesn’t mean he can’t take a crack at some other Marvel super heroes, and from the looks of things, he’d do a bang up job drawing the X-Men.

Over the holiday weekend, one of Samnee’s Twitter followers asked how he’d redesign Kitty Pryde. This was the result, which people really seemed to like:

That just seems to fit Kitty’s personality, no? Bonus points because he got Lockheed into that one too. Then, Samnee returned on Saturday morning with a new look for Wolverine. Alas, we’ll probably never see Logan wear it, seeing as he’s dead and all.

Pretty impressive considering he basically did these on a lark. Samnee is going to leave Daredevil at some point, and there are plenty of X-Men books, so … You might want to think about giving him a gig on one of them, Marvel.
