Actually, you have until April 1 to properly prepare for Convergence #0, the issue that kicks off a story that DC says will tie into “literally every DC story ever told.” It’s so big that it’s taking over DC’s line for two months, helping to cover for the cross-country move of the publishing side of DC Entertainment from New York to Burbank.
Today, DC released the cover for the first issue, which you can see here. It’s by Ethan Van Sciver, who will handle the interior art as well for a story written by Dan Jurgens and Jeff King. Alternate covers are being supplied by Darwyn Cooke, Patrick Zircher and Adam Hughes.
It sure looks like Superman is smacking around Brainiac here, but the Big Bad for the event is a newcomer named Telos. He’s got the power to collect various worlds seen prior to the New 52 realunch and imprison them under a giant dome of some sort, where solicitations suggest they will interact during the two-issue limited series that will run along with Convergence.
Then again, with that on-sale date, I guess there’s always a chance this is an elaborate April Fool’s joke. But I don’t think so, meaning you’ll have a chance to see Superman slug Brainiac a bunch more in less than four months.
