Rumor: From Star-Lord To Indiana Jones For Chris Pratt?
By Nick Tylwalk
This just in: Harrison Ford is an old dude. So how about making a case for Chris Pratt as the new Harrison Ford? He’s already been in a successful space opera as Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy, and he’s about to become the face of another big franchise in Jurassic World.

On top of that, Pratt might be in line to take over for Ford in one of his most iconic roles. Deadline reported today that while it’s still early, Disney wants Pratt to take over as Indiana Jones. Though it’s sometimes been lost in the shuffle since Disney acquired the Star Wars brand, it owns the Indy rights too, purchasing them from Paramount a few years ago.
That would keep Pratt within the larger Disney family, so to speak, going from Star-Lord to everyone’s favorite archaeologist. Some fans have been taking to Twitter today to start a campaign for Disney to consider Jensen Ackles, of Supernatural fame, but there’s no question that Pratt is a hotter name in Hollywood right now, and for better or worse, that can make all the difference.
And while Deadline calls the Pratt buzz a “dishy, informed rumor,” is it possible he might have some competition from within the Guardians of the Galaxy cast? Here’s what Marc Graser of Variety tweeted out on that front:
Rocket Raccoon to Indiana Jones? That’s a little more of a leap, no?
