Batman Unlimited will be getting two direct to video films, one slated to arrive May 12th, the other coming at some as of yet undetermined date in the latter half of this year. There will also be two 22 minute shorts based on Batman Unlimited, which will be free on digital platforms and on a companion app for digital devices
Super Friends will have a set of shorts produced that will premiere in the Spring along with a similar companion app. Super Friends will also be getting new toys & books based on the shorts. The goal of all this is to connect audiences to the toys and characters of both Batman Unlimited & Super Friends.
I’m admittedly highly cynical of animated stuff based on a kid’s toy line, but as is our duty, we will certainly review these new movies and shorts as soon as we an get our hands on them and let you know if they are worth your valuable time.
