Women Of Marvel Variant Covers Coming In March

March is Women’s History Month, a fact that provided Marvel with a perfect theme for its variant cover program for the month.

Over 20 of Marvel’s titles shipping in March will have variant covers by female artists, including everyone from big names to indie stars to up-and-comers. The entire list hasn’t been finalized yet, but Marvel EIC Axel Alonso is pleased with the talent already assembled for the program.
“2014 was a huge year for Women of Marvel, both in our comics and behind the scenes,” Alonso said in a press release. “Marvel now has more titles starring female leads than ever before, the Women of Marvel panel is one of the most highly attended at conventions, and the weekly Women of Marvel podcast continues to grow. In 2015, we intend to continue that tradition, and March’s Women of Marvel variant covers — featuring 20 of the best female artists in the industry – is just the beginning.”

Boy, that TBD is a workhorse, isn’t she? Poor attempts at humor aside, look for the Women of Marvel covers at your LCS this March, and maybe if you ask the people who work there really nicely, they’ll let you buy some of them.
