J.K. Simmons wins at the Screen Actors Guild Awards
By Daniel Wood
J.K. Simmons will always, always be J. Jonah Jameson to anyone that watched any of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man films. He was so convincing as the head honcho at the Daily Bugle that he’s pretty much the only person that could bring back the role for Marc Webb’s Amazing Spider-Man films and is pretty much the only reason JJJ hasn’t appeared yet.

However, Emma Stone wasn’t the only Spider-Man alumni to win big at the Screen Actors Guild, as J.K. Simmons won the ‘Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role’ award for his role as Fletcher in Whiplash, a different kind of uncompromising, smug, unlikable ass.
The reason I’m truly happy about this though is that it means Sony might go a bit more out of their way to get J. K. Simmons back in the Spider-Man franchise considering he’s now an award winning actor! But, on behalf of myself and all of the staff here at Whatever a Spider Can, we’d like to congratulated J. Jonah Jameson, sorry, J. K. Simmons on his award win!
