Marvel Reveals Eight More Areas Of Secret Wars’ Battleworld

If you’re looking for more details on Battleworld, the crazy quilt of a planet that will be the focus of Marvel’s upcoming Secret Wars mega-event, there’s a map for that.

The thing is, until now, the interactive map of Battleworld has been a little light on details for many of the lands on the planet, as Marvel has chosen to unveil the different areas on the planet slowly. Today, we got a look at eight more of those countries, each of which is home to a portion of a different reality:

  • Egyptia – From a world where Egypt has ruled as the superpower for thousands of years thanks to the machinations of the Sphinx, Captain Assyria and the Avengers are the bad guys, while the Mutant Liberation Alliance fights for freedom thanks to the likes of Magneto and Juggernaut.
  • The Regency – Not sure if this is a mistake or not, but right now the map says this is the land from Spider-Man’s “One More Day” arc. Could Peter Parker possibly keep Mary Jane in this reality?
  • New Quack City – Of course Howard the Duck would get caught up in Secret Wars! I’m not sure if his new ongoing series is set in the main Marvel Universe or on his own world, but this would seem to be a slice of the latter.
  • 2099 – The future, though not necessarily the one destined for the regular Marvel Earth (as an aside, time travel makes my head hurt). Miguel O’Hara, Spider-Man 2099, calls this place home, as do other versions of familiar super heroes.
  • Hala Field – A land of Captain Marvel’s very own? Sure looks that way, as the description has her leading the Carol Corp from here.
  • The Wastelands – This is the dystopian future inhabited by Old Man Logan. Yet an older Wolverine began to turn things around for the better by the end of that tale, so things might not be as grim here as you’d first expect.
  • Perfection – Ironically named, at least from the perspective of us humans. In this country, Age of Ultron has yet to be undone, and the robotic Avengers villain appears well on his way to defeating all living things.
  • New Xander – The Infinity Gauntlet is here, and Earth’s heroes are about to launch a last-ditch effort to wrest it from Thanos’ grasp.

Can’t tell your alternate realities apart without a scorecard! Clicking around to different areas on the map shows that more lands will be revealed every so often up through March, so make sure to bookmark it if you want to get the lay of the land before Secret Wars touches down for real in May.
