First Look: Howard The Duck #1
By Nick Tylwalk
Last year was pretty good to Howard the Duck. Thanks to his appearance in the post-credits scene of Guardians of the Galaxy, one of the biggest movies of 2014, fans remembered he existed and mostly forgot how horrible his own movie was back in the 80s.

Still, 2015 is looking like it might be even better for the foul-mouthed fowl. Not only does it look like his hometown will survive and become part of Battleworld, Howard is also getting his own ongoing series from Chip Zdarsky and Joe Quinones.
He’s going to be tackling cases in the Marvel Universe as a private duck … er, investigator while running into Black Cat, She-Hulk, aliens and another anthropomorphic animal who might also have been in that same movie last year.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing Howard back to the stands!” series editor Wil Moss said in a press release. “The stuff Chip & Joe have planned for this series … well, to be honest, I don’t know if we’ll be able to publish most of it. But the stuff that does clear with legal is going to be amazing!”
Subversive parody mixed with super hero shenanigans? Here’s hoping! And here’s a first look at Howard the Duck #1, which is due in stores and on digital on March 11.
