Yes, A Batman Combat Suit Is A Real Thing
Want to build your own Batman combat suit? All you might need is a convincing Kickstarter and little know how. Just like Jackson Gordon, a Philadelphia University student studying industrial design, who has made a functional Batman Combat Suit.

While the Batman combat suit won’t take a bullet, it’s good for up close combat as Gordon laims it can take punishment from punches, baseball bats and even machetes.
Gordon had designed a Batsuit before, but not one that had any practical use (well as practical as a Bat Suit can be at any rate). So he took to kickstarter to raise money for the materials to build a fuctional Batman combat suit. After 30 days, he had raised over $1200. He finished building the suit in time to attend Katsucon and actually have people test it out by punching it.
Check out Gordon’s Facebook page, where you can see videos of him stress testing the Batman combat suit along with plenty of pictures of him in full on Batman cosplay at Katsucon.
