Marvel Releases Three New Age Of Ultron Character Posters

Though many fans were thinking we were going to get one character poster per day for Avengers: Age of Ultron, following the Iron Man and Hulk reveals earlier this week, the company upped the ante and released three today.

As you can see below, we got a poster for Thor, who Chris Hemsworth has been teasing will fight with Iron Man and use some of the knowledge of the Asgardians to help battle Ultron.

Next up is Black Widow. From all that’s been released so far, it appears we may get even more exploration into Natasha’s backstory, and her relationship with the Hulk looks like it could play an important role in the film. Her costume has more lights on it this time, which look cool but probably aren’t that effective for spy stuff.

Last and generally not least is Nick Fury. This one struck me as a little bit of a surprise, simply because Fury is no longer acting as the head of SHIELD (leaving it in the very capable hands of Phil Coulson) and due to Samuel L. Jackson’s insistence that he’s not in Age of Ultron all that much. Both the character and the actor are a draw for fans, though, no question about that.

Who’s still left? Captain America and Hawkeye for sure. I’d say there’s a decent chance Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Ultron get posters as well. The wild card is the Vision, who Marvel has been hesitant to show off to this point. Have to keep something as a semi-surpise, I guess.

As you can see in the posters, Avengers: Age of Ultron is approaching rapidly, with a release date of May 1.
