Preview: Cross-Time Heroics In Avengers: Ultron Forever #1
By Nick Tylwalk
Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Vision. Sounds like a pretty classic Avengers lineup, right? Except that in Avengers: Ultron Forever #1, Iron Man is James Rhodes, Cap is the grown-up daughter of Cage and Jessica Jones, and there are two Thors.

What’s bringing this unusual group of heroes together? Ultron, that’s what. Not just any Ultron either, but the Ultron Singularity, a mechanical nightmare that rules the future 500 years from now. Out of desperation, Doctor Doom summons seven Avengers from different time periods to try to free the few living beings still surviving. It probably goes without saying that even they might not be enough.
Written by Al Ewing and illustrated by comics legend Alan Davis, Avengers: Ultron Forever #1 is just the opening chapter in a three-part tale that continues into New Avengers: Ultron Forever #1 and concludes in Uncanny Avengers: Ultron Forever #1. Three parts, two months, one big story. Sound good to us.
Take a peek at some of Davis’ interior pages, plus a variant cover by Skottie Young, and check for Avengers: Ultron Forever #1 in stores or on digital on April 1. No joke.
