Hawkeye Confirmed For Captain America: Civil War?
By Nick Tylwalk
We were just saying how we need to see more Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and that’s apparently what we’re going to get.

The Hollywood Reporter ran an article today on Jeremy Renner signing on for the sci-fi drama Story of Your Life, where he’ll be joined in the lead roles by Amy Adams. Interesting, but not relevant to what we’re discussing.
Instead, the good tidbit came near the end of the piece, where it said this while talking about Renner’s busy schedule for this year:
"He will shoot Captain America: Civil War this spring, then segue to Story of Your Life in mid-June, working with Villeneuve, considered one of the hottest directors in town and who just booked the sequel to Blade Runner."
That’s the first concrete info we’ve had about Renner appearing in Civil War, though there’s been plenty of speculation from both him and others that it would be great if Hawkeye was part of it. He’ll join Cap, Iron Man, Black Panther, Black Widow, Winter Soldier, and possibly Spider-Man as heroes who will appear in that film.
I’m not sure that really fulfills my request for Hawkeye to get more of the spotlight, since he’ll be sharing that movie with at least as many characters as he’s going to in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but at this point, any time we get more of the Avenging Archer, we’ll take it.
