First Look: The King Returns In Uncanny Inhumans #0
By Nick Tylwalk
Black Bolt has sort of been on the outs with his own people as of late. With Medusa leading the Inhumans, he’s been off with the Illuminati, but did he leave by choice, or was his hand forced? And can he stand alone against one of the Avengers’ most deadly and persistent foes?

Those are some of the questions that are going to be explored by writer Charles Soule and artist Steve McNiven in Uncanny Inhumans #0. Still away from his throne, Black Bolt is forced into action against Kang the Conqueror, who has plans to monkey with the entire history of the Inhumans. Mind you, that’s a history that dates back 20,000 years.
Something else to consider: when last we saw Kang, he was involved in a long arc in the pages of Uncanny Avengers. Could this series play off of that, or at least involve mutants in some way? The X-Men are usually involved when the adjective “Uncanny” is in front of any title …
That’s all me just spitballing for now. All I know for sure is that we’ve got a first look at some of McNiven’s always fabulous artwork below, and that Uncanny Inhumans #0 hits stores and digital on April 1.
